Christmas Planning: Getting Organized
Posted on September 21, 2022
Have those ideas and plans for Christmas started to flood your mind and Pinterest boards, yet? After all, the countdown has begun- it’s officially less than 100 days until Christmas. Hooray! That means it’s time to organize those genius ideas into a grand plan so that they actually become reality. Why not start by creating a Christmas notebook? (Insert your “OOOO!” here). It’s a magical place where “All Things Christmas” belongs and is stored for your reference for years to come. (Insert your “AHH-HAA!” here).
There will be a handful of standard sections: gift recipient list, Christmas card list and addresses, events, recipe notes, and decorating notes. We'll unpack these over future blog posts, and of course you’ll be adding in your own sections based on your traditions.
Start by picking up your supplies. You will need a notepad (pocket size), a 1 - 1-1/2" three ring binder that has pockets on the inside, a couple sets of dividers, and a glue stick. Also, it will be helpful to have either a 12 month calendar or you can print the individual calendar pages online (more details on this to come). This will either go in one of the pockets or you can three-hole punch it and leave it in the front of the book.
We like to use binders that have a clear plastic sleeve on the front to insert our own creative cover. Be sure to share on your socials your amazingly creative, custom cover to inspire us all! @MerryStockings #MSchristmasnotebook
Until next week, let the ideas roll! Be thinking, too, about your own traditions and what other sections you might want to include.
Merry Organizing!
